Very Vanilla en España!

Hola Chicos. At last I am on my newest European adventure in Madrid! As I mentioned a few posts ago, in efforts to make my bucket list a little shorter, I took the opportunity to go study Spanish here for a month. Am I still generally at a loss for Spanish phrases? Claro que si, but I just arrived on Sunday so I will learn! While the weather has been up and down, it’s nice to be here before the tourist season picks up. I can live with the Madrileños and see the city in action. I loved visiting Barcelona (don’t think I’ve ever met anyone who hasn’t) but I was eager to go somewhere new. Madrid seems to be a perfect place to live for a few weeks. There is lots to see but the best parts need to be uncovered. On my first day walking about, I  went on the perfunctory expedition, walking from el Sol to Plaza Mayor to el Palacio Real. Of course, I whipped out my camera the second I exited the metro.
NYC on the way to catch my flight.
